Alisa debriefs from Swancon 2010 and the launch of 2011 (Natcon 50) and provides a homework reading list for 2011, as discussed on a recent Swancon panel:

Sean Williams: The Resurrected Man & Metal Fatigue if people like SF, The Change series if they like fantasy, would be a good place to start. Sean also has a YA series (The Changeling), and has written several Star Wars tie-in novels.

Justina Robson: Silver Screen is a standalone, but hard to get hold of, or start the first of the Quantum Gravity series: Keeping it Real.  (Alex recommends Natural Gravity)

Ellen Datlow: Many many many anthologies. The Coyote Road: Trickster Tales, and The Green Man, and we mentioned the fairytale-style anthos and the year's best anthos.

Ethel Turner shortlist features several fantasy works http://www.pla.nsw.gov.au/awards-shortlists/ethel-turner-prize-for-young-peoples-literature
